GIFT OF TIME

The title Gift of Time is borrowed from the artist residency by the same name located in Roswell, New Mexico where the work was created and exhibited. The natural surrounding of Roswell's desert played a significant role in the process and resolution of the work. It examines patterns existing in nature and applies them to the systems created by people both physical and cerebral. In this way, it builds new, unexpected relationships. The marks left by an ant connect with fragments of thought, moths are driven to light and become stars in the night’s sky, and a girl notices with hesitation the creation of new patterns around her. The work is as much a process as it is a result of a process which both holding equal importance.
